Truth is…
“You is smart, you is kind, you is important.”
YOU ARE ENOUGH!
Yes YOU, in your unrefined, inexperienced, trying-to-get-it-together-but-I’m-about-to-tap-out season.
YOU are enough!
I was reading a blog post by Brianna Weist on Thought Catalog- 30 things people don’t realize you’re doing because you actually have self respect now- and these words jumped out at me:
“Breaking other people’s expectations. You owe nothing to what other people want and expect you to be. Their perspectives of you are limited, and they are narrow. Conforming to them keeps you small.”
It’s no coincidence that earlier that day a fellow sister-friend blogger wrote a post about the importance of not despising the days of little beginnings, to which I hollered “get outta my head!,” because that has been the theme on my heart for the past few months. You see, I’ve been having an internal battle for years about the trajectory of my career. I look back over the years, and I think to myself “oh I know there’s sooo much more to discover about my gifts and talents. I can do better than this. What’s next?!”
I became impatient with the process that I was in partly because other people were projecting their ideas and expectations onto me. I mean I once had a colleague who said she didn’t believe or couldn’t imagine that I could be anything besides who she saw me to be in my “beginning” moments, and somehow, subconsciously I think I succumbed to that perception. On the other hand, the decision to follow a specific career path loomed in my mind, and I began to consider this path as the only way to accomplish professional success. On this path, I imagined that steps 1 through 10 were the ONLY way my career could flourish.
But God…
Interestingly, yet unsurprisingly, God had a different idea. While He kept me in a space I had grown frustrated of being in, He taught me the significance of humility, diligence, and commitment. I sit here in utter awe of how God is unfolding His will for my career and anyone who is aware knows this is ALL GOD! You see, God has a way of taking us into what we consider our “low points” with the intent to refine us and then elevate us.
Are hardships outside God’s plan for us or are they vehicles necessary to elevate us to the next level of Glory?
Let’s take Joseph for example (Read Genesis chapters 37 through 43 for the complete story), Joseph dreamt that his Father, Mother, and Brothers- who were represented by the Sun, Moon, and Stars- bowed before him. He shared this dream with his Father and a similar dream with his brothers. Unfortunately, Joseph’s brothers couldn’t comprehend nor accept the idea of bowing or subjecting themselves to their little brother, so they decided to ambush young Joseph one day, threw him in a pit and later sold him into slavery. They then lied to their father that Joseph was dead. Simply put, His brothers’ perspective of him was limited and narrow and so they attempted to limit Joseph by eliminating the possibility of His dreams coming true…or so THEY thought! If you’re familiar with this story, you know that after many years of being tested and refined in obedience, integrity, diligence, and humility while also being falsely accused and imprisoned, Joseph was appointed to be Ruler in Egypt, a strange land.
Listennnn, someone reading this is about to step into a strange place!!! A place in which you never envisioned your dreams will manifest, and it will leave you in AWE. CLAIM IT! 🙌🏾
No👏🏾eye👏🏾has👏🏾seen👏🏾no👏🏾ear👏🏾has👏🏾heard👏🏾 Do you hear me?!
But……you must take your “little” and keep pressing on in obedience, diligence, and commitment to God. Take yourself AS YOU ARE and let God do the working and the adding- “He who began a God work is faithful to complete it.” (Philippians 1:6 ) You are enough! Circumstances may not make sense, things may not be working out in the manner you imagined, but know that you are EXACTLY where God needs you to be. Right here, right now. You are in a place of stretching: PASS THOSE TESTS in that space of frustration with your job, your coworker, your manager, your self.
I’ll tell you this, God’s ways are not your ways, neither are His thoughts your thoughts. His thoughts are higher! His ways are higher! (Isaiah 55:9) While others, and maybe you, may think you’re not enough God knows that He has deposited in you everything necessary for you to be GREAT! Lean not on your own understanding. Don’t despise your days of little beginnings, don’t look down on the process, do push forward and do your best. Be encouraged! I promise you it will turn out to be the gate to greener pastures. Endure and grow in this place of stretching and prepare to step into a strange place!
Cheers RADsters to vibrating to the next level🥂 #LevelUp

I’d like to provide an opportunity to those who are yet to meet with Jesus. If you have a deep desire to know Jesus and enter into the kingdom of God you are in great company. I did at some point in my life, and it was the greatest desire that God ever met!
I invite you to pray the sinner’s prayer: Dear Jesus, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins before you. I believe that you died for my sins and rose again to give me a new life. I ask that you forgive me of my sins; cleanse me with your precious blood which you shed on the cross of Calvary. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Fill me up with your Holy Spirit and strengthen me. I profess that I am a new creature; old things have passed away and I have become new in You. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
If you prayed the prayer, WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM FAMILY!! You are a new creature, the old has passed and the new is here! Be sure to find a bible believing, Spirit-led church in your city and purchase a bible in a version that you understand. I use the New Living Translation, Message, Free Bible, Christian Standard Bible, or the New International Version. Enjoy the journey!
