GO GET IT!

Hey RADsters!

OMG Can you believe it?! 2017 is less than 30 days shy of being over, done, FINITO! As we eagerly await 2018, so many professional, mental, and emotional reviews happen during this time of the year. This is the season when:

  1. We all reflect on the awesome and not so awesome events that occurred over the year.
  2. Some religious faithful servants of God dust off their prayer request list from the New Year’s eve service.
  3. Others  teleport into the new year before the rest of the world, so ready to catch the “New year New me” wave… please have a  seat💺.
  4. Every believer comes up with the “I’m holding the year to ransom until God blesses me” caption.🙋🏾‍♀️

Oftentimes we chant “Go get your blessing!” When we say this, I imagine we visualize our blessings hidden somewhere atop a mountain, or tucked away in a dungeon where violent possession is required because “the kingdom of God suffers violence.” Matt. 11:12

Just last night I found myself exactly in this scenario of violently taking by force! Let me give you this transparency tea…ready?

3 months ago my beautiful Tesla Tessa(my Hyundai’s name) broke down while I was driving on the highway. Thank God I was still in MD! After calling for a tow truck to get my car and getting a rental (my parents are sooo clutch!), I was able to go home and rest. The next day, I called the dealership and found out my engine knocked! That’s the whole entire car! —What the heck am I gonna do now?—I’m not able to purchase a new car right now!— God why now?! How will I commute to work? Worry and fear crept in, negative thoughts began to brew in my mind.

When I tell you God loves me…don’t doubt it! During the worry fest, something told me to check my glove compartment, and I immediately remembered that the car manufacturer had mailed me a recall campaign brochure specifically for the engine of my car’s year, make, and model. Get this: all expenses would be FULLY reimbursed upon complete repair of my vehicle!

Wooo Jesus is a provider! He is ALWAYS always on time. My Hero❤️

So I drove the rental for one month (she got moneeeyyyy…hmm my dear. Amen!) and within that time you know the devil triieeddd it. The dealership was saying something about me someone else paying the rental bill. I adamantly declined because duh…RECALL! 🙄don’t play me, Iknow my rights!

Long story short, I got my car back and was then told that I needed to file a reimbursement claim with the corporate office in order to get my money back. Scrrrr! quoi? What. Do. You. Mean?!?! 🤬I went ahead and submitted a claim and was ready for a quick and easy process. I hunted down every living soul at customer care for 2 months. Yes 2 MONTHS! for a simple update on my claim. Can you imagine?! Ugghh

Last night was the last straw. Oh I was ready to tell them who the boss is and ask for theirs! During my phone call, I was told that my case manager Eric had called me several times and left me voice messages, to which I vehemently denied “I NEVER EVER received a call or voicemail from anyone!”

Que the Holy Spirit- –Are you sure?“Uhh yea!”

Annoyed I asked “what number would he have called from?” The rep responded, and you wouldn’t believe it…it turns out that 30 Days after I filed my claim a strange number called me, and being an avid blocker of all things swerveable💁🏿‍♀️, I somehow blocked that number!😱. In my defense, I was expecting a call from an 800 or an 866 number. I searched my blocked voice messages and voila! the answers I was yelling, screaming, wailing for were right there in my phone, in my possession, blocked by me and waiting for me to accept them and do my part. How embarrassing! I immediately unblocked him because there’s no way I’m missing his call again.

LE ME TELL YOU, instantly I felt D U M B. The case manager did his part by reviewing my claim, assessing my documents, and responding to my inquiry. He did all that he could do within his ability and presented me with what I needed. What did I do? I BLOCKED IT. Boy was I grieved…so grieved. And in that space I began to meditate.

With all the prayers you’ve prayed in 2017, the fasting, the interceding, the warfare-ing you’ve done throughout this year, what if your blessing was already delivered waiting for you to appropriate it, and you’ve somehow blocked yourself from receiving it? Have you ever wondered that maybe, just maybe YOU could be the “stumbling block” to gaining full access to ALL that’s rightfully yours? Could it be possible that the blessings you’ve been crying, wailing, and screaming to God for are already neatly wrapped, decorated, dispatched, and delivered, but you’ve barricaded yourself from being located? Let it marinate

You see, one thing I know and I’m constantly  learning is that God gave us all free will. We have the gift of CHOICE; He gives and we have the option to receive or reject. One way or another, we as individuals must take action. When God commanded the Israelites to leave mount Sinai and promised them a land He required an action from them “I am giving you this land. Go in and occupy it” God didn’t say “I’m giving you this land and I’m carrying you into it.” Does that mean He lacks the ability to pick them up an plop them right in the middle of the land? Nope! Sometimes God places our blessings within reach and requires us to stretch forth to obtain them, which is exactly what comes to mind when I see this meme

There are times when we make our requests known to God, and He answers us but not in the way we expect Him to answer. So we begin to cast, bind, and destroy. In essence, we block our answered prayers under the impression that they’re “the lie of the devil” simply because of the packaging or even the manner in which they arrive.

Is it possible that your blessings for the remainder of the year have already made their way into your atmosphere? Think about that one thing that God keeps telling you to do, but you continue to ignore because “This couldn’t possibly be God,” “There’s no way!” Meanwhile, that uncanny instruction/direction might be the door that leads you into your abundance, it may be the stairs that elevate you to your next level.

We’re at that point in the year where some of us start vibing/jamming to Mary Mary’s “Go Get it,” or Tasha Cobbs’ “I’m getting ready” (I surely am). While we declare and proclaim the release of the remainder of our blessings for the year, can we also honestly ask ourselves “is it already here?” “could I have blocked it?” “Have I rejected God’s offer?” #HeartCheck

I’m interested to know your thoughts about blocked blessings RADsters, let’s chat below!

I’d like to provide an opportunity to those who are yet to meet with Jesus. If you have a deep desire to know Jesus and enter into the kingdom of God you are in great company. I did at some point in my life, and it was the greatest desire that God ever met!

I invite you to pray the sinner’s prayer: Dear Jesus, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins before you. I believe that you died for my sins and rose again to give me new life.  I ask that you forgive me of my sins; cleanse me with your precious blood which you shed on the cross of Calvary. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Fill me up with your Holy Spirit and strengthen me. I profess that I am a new creature; old things have passed away and I have become new in You. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, AMEN!

If you prayed the prayer, WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM FAMILY!! You are a new creature, the old has passed and the new is here! Be sure to find a bible believing, Spirit led church in your city and purchase a bible in a version that you understand. I use the  New Living Translation, Message, or the New International Version.Enjoy the journey!
