DOUBLE TAKE

Hey RADsters!

                  HIT IT!

🎶It takes two to make a thing go riiight!🎶

Ha ha! Now that song is stuck in your head, isn’t it? Thank me later 😏

My my, when was the last time we met up on this side of the blog? I’m not sure why, but I haven’t been in the fashion blog mood in the past few months. So many life changing events happened throughout the year, that I’ve been more introspective than creative. Head on over to the “RADatheart” tab for some good soul food.

In any case today’s post will make you do a double take, literally. I’ll share how I styled one blouse 2 different ways. My fabulous seamstress of life @nee_mo_fashion (feel free to follow her on IG) created a gorgeous structured 2 piece outfit for my Bestie’s introduction in August #ForTheCulture. *Siiigghh* my what a festive month it was!!

If you know me, or read About me, you’d know that I have a soft spot for patterns. With that said, it’s no surprise that I loved this fabric the moment I saw it. We got this fabric at a store in DC (can’t recall the name), and I couldn’t wait to create a BOMB outfit.

First of all, can we applaud Lady Chi for her blessed hands and creative mind in bringing this outfit to life!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The moment I tried it on, I knew it would be my fave AsoEbi garb- No alterations needed, plus it’s versatile. I love love love the blouse! Can I get an amen for its asymmetrical elements, peplum factor, and all round neat finishing?! If I didn’t know, I’d say this outfit was ready made for sale…lol

Since this was for my bestie’s marriage introduction, I kept it as traditional as possible -according to my styling preference. I wore some diamond stud earrings and added a gorgeous Brooch for a dainty touch. I wore the brooch the second time I rocked the blouse, and I’m thinking I might keep it as part of the blouse. What do you think?

As a sucker for well tailored attires, it was only right that I wore the blouse with a pair of tailored high waisted pencil pants the second time around. I also styled the outfit with a classic pair of nude pumps, you can’t go wrong with nude pumps! It’s such a staple.

Tip: Statement pieces give your outfit a face lift. To compliment my pixie cut, I decided to wear some giant pearl earrings I bought from HMWhen you’re styling a fit, be sure to have at least one statement item. By doing this, you’re sure to transform the ordinary into extraordinary. In this case the blouse itself and my earrings were statement pieces❤️

Ciao RADcrew💋
